British actor Daniel Day-Lewis made history at the weekend, by becoming the first actor to ever win the Best Actor Oscar three times. A number of actors have been sitting on two Best Actor Oscars for some time but Daniel has now put himself above them with this win.

Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln
Daniel Day-Lewis won his first Best Actor Oscar for his performance in My Left Foot back in 1989, before picking up his second Best Actor Oscar for his role in the movie There Will Be Blood in 2007 and now he has his third Best Actor Oscar at the weekend for his portrayal of Abraham Lincoln in the Steven Spielberg movie Lincoln.
So, by becoming the first ever actor to win three Best Actor Oscars, does that make Daniel Day-Lewis the greatest actor in the history of Hollywood? Well, it is fair to say that he is certainly up there with the best. Daniel gives his all to his characters and makes sure never to break out of that until the movie has finished filming.

Daniel Day-Lewis one of the greatest ever
This acting technique has been adopted by many Hollywood stars but none manage to do it better than Daniel Day-Lewis. While it is true that he is a great actor, it is not easy to just choose one actor as the greatest of all time but Daniel Day-Lewis is certainly up there!
Who do you think is the greatest actor of all time?
