It seems that the aging action hero movie franchise The Expendables is going to continue to run, with The Expendables 3 expected to begin shooting this year. Now, Dolph Lundgren has confirmed that he will be returning for the third instalment and even spoke about the possibility of Wesley Snipes, Jackie Chan and Nicolas Cage joining the cast.

Wesley Snipes could star in The Expendables
During a conversation with MovieWeb, Lundgren explained, “I don't know anything for sure... I have heard that they do want Wesley Snipes. They want Jackie Chan. Nicolas Cage, too. But we don't know what's going on yet.”
He continued, “All of those are pretty great names. They are good actors and I think the fans would love to see them in there, with the rest of us for sure.”

Nicolas Cage may also appear in the movie
However, Dolph did admit that there is still a lot of work to be done on the script for The Expendables 3, “From what I understand, they won't even have 'The Expendables 3' ready until the fall,” he added.
The Expendables 3 is also expected to see the return of Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis, although Chuck Norris has already denied any involvement in the third movie.
