There has been a lot of excitement surrounding the Star Wars: Episode VII movie, ever since the moment that Disney announced that they were planning to bring us a new trilogy, after buying the rights to LucasFilm. That excitement went through the roof earlier this week, when the official Star Wars: Episode VII cast was revealed.
Some of the names on the list were quite surprising, especially that of Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson, and the new member of the Star Wars: Episode VII cast has been talking about landing the biggest role of his career. Domhnall says that it all happened really quickly and that he is still in shock at landing the role.
Gleeson was chatting on the Dublin radio show 2FM, when he explained, "I'm still struggling to come to terms with it. It all happened really quickly for me. It was like the day before and then I'm at a table reading with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill. It was madness but it was great."
Domhnall then went on to talk about the huge secrecy that will surround Star Wars: Episode VII between now and the movie being released, admitting that he is already worried that he is going to say something that could give too much away, landing him in trouble with the producers of the movie, as well as director J.J. Abrams.
Gleeson added, "I'm afraid if I say anything I'll give away the plot of the whole movie. I've got two years of this ahead of me. The movie is released in December 2015 -- that's the amount of time I have to keep my mouth shut!"
It is not yet known what character Domhnall Gleeson will play in Star Wars: Episode VII but the recent rumours have suggested that it will most likely be Luke Skywalker's son Ben Skywalker. We will just have to wait and see.
Star Wars: Episode VII will open on December 18, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
