There are a lot of good tennis players on the WTA tour at the moment and one woman who has been gaining a lot of interest of late is the talented Slovakian star Dominika Cibulkova. Earlier this year Dominika Cibulkova become the first ever female Slovakian tennis player to reach the final of a Grand Slam, by making it to the final of the 2014 Australian Open and she has not looked back since.
Dominika Cibulkova has been enjoying a good run of form this year and she has continued that form into the WTA Sony Ericsson Open, which saw her take on Agnieszka Radwanska in the quarter-final earlier today. It looked like Dominika's good run could be over, as she dropped the first set 3-6 but, showing just how much fight she has in her, Cibulkova managed to fight back and win the next two sets 7-6 6-3 booking her place in the semi final.
Once Dominika Cibulkova found her rhythm, Agnieszka Radwanska found it difficult to live with her pace and power, something which Dominika admits makes her very aggressive. Cibulkova recently explained, "I'm really powerful on the court. I have very good groundstrokes. My forehand is pretty fast. When I play my great tennis, I'm really aggressive…that's what I do the best."
Dominika Cibulkova will face the winner of the match between Caroline Wozniacki and Li Na, who are currently in the process of playing, in her semi final of the WTA Sony Ericsson Open, while the other semi final will see the favourite Serena Williams taking on Maria Sharapova.
