British actor Douglas Booth is certainly an actor who is very much on the rise and will next appear on the big screen in the movie Romeo and Juliet. Douglas has spoken about the costumes for the movie, admitting that he has a huge respect for the costume designers on Romeo and Juliet.
Booth was discussing the film with GQ, when he said, "Yeah, a lot of work went into them. We had Milena Canonero, who's a three-time Academy Award-winning costume designer, she oversaw the whole look of the piece and Carlo Poggioli, her sort of protégé, designed the actual costumes and it was, yeah, a huge amount of work."
He then spoke about his constant costume mishaps, adding, "I swear, I split my pants a million times down the crotch when I was fencing. The poor costume girls had to spend many an hour, fixing up my crotch."
While Douglas Booth plays Romeo, his Juliet comes in the form of Oscar nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld. Romeo and Juliet also stars Ed Westwick, Paul Giamatti, Stellan Skarsgard and Damien Lewis, with a release date set for October 11 in the US.
