Dwayne Johnson is set to make his WWE return as The Rock at this year’s WrestleMania 28 later this year and he has admitted that he feels that he has a little something to prove. Dwayne has been working as hard as ever to make sure that he is in tip top shape for his return to the WWE and he hopes that he can give everybody a match to remember.
Johnson explained, "I quietly retired about eight years ago from the WWE, when I was still on top, to focus on acting, but I'm getting back in the ring for one night in April with the goal of creating the biggest match of all time. So, I'm training extra hard right now." Dwayne then admitted that his wrestling roots mean a lot to him, as both his father and his grandfather were wrestlers.
He added, "For me, those wrestling roots run deep as my grandfather and my dad wrestled, and I love that form of entertainment. That's where I cut my teeth, getting into the entertainment business and doing it for ten million fans every week." Dwayne Johnson will return to WWE as The Rock for WrestleMania 28, which airs live on April 1.
