Fast Five actor Dwayne Johnson has returned to reprise his role as Hobbs for Fast and Furious 6 and he has been talking about the joy of playing the character. Dwayne says that he loves the role so much, that he is regularly pushing for a Hobbs spin-off movie to be made, although his main focus right now is making sure Fast Six is the best it can be.
During an interview with Collider, Johnson explained, "That’s always an ongoing conversation, because it’s really such a cool character. Cool and it’s fun in that franchise, to introduce him. That conversation is always an ongoing conversation.
He added, "That’s a great thing about working with Neal, too, who hustles to get his movies done and has a studio like Universal who ushered me into the business ten years ago. So there’s a relationship there. That conversation is always ongoing. But I think before going Fast…the story of Fast Six should be taken care of and fostered and making sure that’s good, because the bar was raised in Fast Five."
As well as seeing the return of Dwayne Johnson, Fast and Furious 6 will also see Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster and Michelle Rodriguez back for the film. Fast and Furious 6 is once again directed by Justin Lin and is set to be released on May 24 in both the US and the UK.
