We have seen a lot of wrestlers making the movie into the acting industry over the years, with different wrestlers enjoying different levels of success. One of the most successful wrestler turned actors in the industry right now is Dwayne Johnson, who has enjoyed a lot of success in Hollywood over the past few years, with plenty more big roles lined up for the coming years.
While Dwayne Johnson has appeared in roles in the Fast and Furious movies, the G.I. Joe films and the upcoming Hercules project, it seems that there is a certain role in a specific movie franchise that he would love to play. Dwayne has admitted that he would love to be cast in the role of a Bond villain in a future James Bond movie.
Johnson explained, "I would love to be a Bond villain. I am a huge fan of Daniel Craig and the Bond movies but it seems only right to follow in my grandfather's footsteps as a Bond baddie." Dwayne Johnson's grandfather Peter Maivia had a role as a villain in the 1967 James Bond movie You Only Live Twice, which starred Sean Connery in the role of 007.
Dwayne Johnson will be seen on the big screen later in the year, playing the titular role in the movie Hercules, which also stars Irina Shayk, John Hurt, Ian McShane, Joseph Fiennes, Ian Whyte, Robert Maillet and Rufus Sewell. Hercules is directed by Brett Ratner and will open on July 25 in the US, before then hitting the big screen in the UK on August 8.
