It seems that celebrity cameos have become all the rage in recent years, with a number of big television shows and movies deciding to get some big name stars on board to appear in their project. While some of these cameos have been very impressive, such as Daniel Craig being a stormtrooper in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, there have also been some poor ones, including David Beckham appearing in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
So, when it was announced that we were going to get to see British music superstar Ed Sheeran in a cameo role for the new season of Game of Thrones, we were unsure exactly what we should think of it. Now, Ed has been talking about what we can expect from his cameo appearance in Game of Thrones season seven, and it seems that it is not really worth getting too excited about.
Sheeran was chatting to the guys over at Entertainment Tonight, when he explained to them, "I didn't put on my thermal socks and I was outside in the winter in England for about 10 hours. So it was cold."
He added, "I haven't seen it yet. I just know the scene I did, I did with Maisie [Williams], and it's decent. I like it. Nothing exciting happens in this scene, we just have a conversation and that's kind of it. [It]has been build up too much. People will just be like, 'Oh ... oh, all right'. It's not an integral part of it, at all. I'm just like, in it."
Game of Thrones season 7 will premiere on HBO on Sunday, July 16 at 9.
