Gossip Girl actor Ed Westwick has revealed that, while he is more than happy to stick around and do one more year of Gossip Girl, he does want to become more involved in other projects and try his hand at other roles. Ed admitted the he feels privileged to be working in America and that there are so many opportunities for an actor such as himself.
Westwick explained, “I never say never to anything. I'm just happy to be doing a job that I love. This is a fantastic job to be able to do and a fantastic industry to work in. I love working in America, I love being part of the industry out here. But look, it's been a fantastic experience with the show and if we do one more year, I'm sure it'll be a great culmination of everything.”
He added, “I'm definitely ready to mix it up and do other things. I'm an actor; I want to play roles, not a role.” Ed Westwick recently teased the Gossip Girl plot line between his character Chuck and his on again off again love Blair. Ed Westwick can be seen on the big screen in the movie J. Edgar, which is set to be released in the UK on January 20, 2012.
