Hollywood comedian Eddie Murphy has revealed that he would still love to one day have a shot at hosting the Oscars, despite the fact that he pulled out as host for the 2012 Oscars. Eddie admits that it is one of the very few things that he has left to do in show business, which he has not yet accomplished in his 35 years as an actor.
Murphy explained, "It's still something that I would like to do one day, because all the best comics have done it. It's one of the few things I haven't done in my 35 years in this business, so I would like to have that be part of my resume as well. If they ask me again, maybe I'll do it… one day." Eddie then went on to praise Billy Crystal for doing such a great job as host.
He added, "I thought Billy did a wonderful job. Billy's done it so many times, he can't not do a good job. He's really solid at that." Eddie Murphy was replaced by Billy Crystal as the 2012 Oscars host after he decided to pull out of hosting the Academy Awards. Eddie pulled out in support of his friend Brett Ratner, who was forced to withdraw from producing the show due to an anti gay slur.
