Les Misérables actor Eddie Redmayne has been linked to the role of Peter Quill aka Star Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, as well as Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Now, Eddie has opened up about the rumours, claiming he tends not to listen to internet rumours.

Eddie Redmayne
Redmayne told MTV Splash Page, “There's noise with the internet of things that are true and not true. If I listen to all of it, I'd go slightly insane. I am a Spider-Man fan, I am indeed. Andrew Garfield is an old mate of mine from London. I think what he and Emma [Stone] did on that film was beautiful. So yeah, I am a fan.”
He added, “I love those films when they're done well. I loved watching Andrew and Emma in Spider-Man. I loved watching The Dark Knight Rises. There seems to be an audience now needing satisfaction beyond spectacle. From an actor's point of view, that makes it intriguing. I love going to see those films. I also like to shake it up -- I just did a musical. I don't like sitting in a box.”

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
Unfortunately for Eddie Redmayne he will not be starring as Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, as the role has been given to Chronicle actor Dane DeHaan. As for the role of Peter Quill aka Star Lord, Eddie is up against Joel Edgerton, Lee Pace, Jim Sturgess and Jack Huston for the role.
