It has been a very exciting start to 2015 and the weeks are just going to continue to get even more exciting as the year goes on, especially the next few weeks, with the build up to the 2015 Oscars. Last week we were given the officially nominations for the Oscars 2015 and we saw a lot of British actors and actress getting Oscar nods, including the actor Eddie Redmayne.

Eddie Redmayne has been nominated for Best Actor
Over the past few years, we have really seen Eddie Redmayne coming into his own and it is nice to see that his acting talent is finally getting the recognition it really deserves and, what better way to prove that than by landing an Oscar nomination. Eddie has been nominated for the Best Actor in a Leading Role Oscar for his performance in the movie The Theory of Everything, where he really does give a fantastic performance as the great Stephen Hawking.
While it is not going to be an easy category for Eddie Redmayne to win, it would certainly be a huge boost to his acting career and really take him to the next level. By winning the Best Actor in a Leading Role Oscar, Eddie would put himself up there with the top leading men in Hollywood and see him being put forward for some of the biggest roles going in the business.

However, the Best Actor in a Leading Role category is a very tough one this year, with Eddie Redmayne facing off against the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch for The Imitation Game, Michael Keaton for Birdman, Bradley Cooper for American Sniper, and Steve Carell for Foxcatcher. Which actor do you think will win the Best Actor award at this years Oscars?
The 87th Academy Awards will take place on February 22 and will this year be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
