Hollywood actor Eddie Redmayne has been praising Australian star Hugh Jackman, saying that he is the nicest, most hard-working person he has ever worked with. Eddie stars alongside Hugh in Les Misérables and says that the multi talented star is one of the best in the business.
“[What’s Hugh like to work with?] What a nightmare,” Redmayne joked to the Examiner, before adding, “Believe everything you hear. He is the nicest man in the world, but he’s also one of the hardest working. His commitment and his talent raised the game on this film for us. He stepped up and we sort of had to step up to the mark there.”
He continued, “[What I love about Hugh is] how multi-talented this guy is. He feels like a throwback to a different generation of movie star, or entertainer who does sort of everything, he sings, he dances. But also, beyond that sometimes I feel like that can take away from the fact that at the core of it, he’s a staggering actor, a sensationally brilliant actor. That was the most inspiring thing.”
As well as Eddie Redmayne and Hugh Jackman, Les Misérables also stars Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Amanda Seyfried. Les Misérables is directed by Tom Hooper and is set to be released on December 25 in the US and then on January 11, 2013 in the UK.
