The Hunger Games is set to be one of the biggest movies of 2012 and many of the stars of the movie have revealed how they loved being a part of it. Now, Elizabeth Banks has explained how she was delighted to receive the role of District escort Effie Trinket.
Elizabeth claims that the part was perfect for her, as she and Effie have so many similarities. She explained, “Effie is so suited to me. She’s a little funny, she’s a little kooky, she’s a little dark. All those things really attracted me to her.”
Elizabeth Banks is part of an all star cast for The Hunger Games, which includes Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Donald Sutherland, Woody Harrelson and Lenny Kravitz. The Hunger Games is directed by Gary Ross and is due to be released on March 23, 2012.
