There have been plenty of rumours surrounding the Godzilla reboot, since it was confirmed that the movie was going ahead. There has been a number of top Hollywood stars linked to the project so far, with new names being brought up on a weekly basis.

Bryan Cranston is in talks for a Godzilla role
It was recently claimed that Kick-Ass actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson was being lined up to play the male lead in the Godzilla reboot and now two more names have been linked to different roles in the movie. The latest two stars to be linked to a role in Godzilla are Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston, who are said to be in ongoing discussions.
One thing that is known for definite, is that there will be no official deals made with any actors, until the script is finished and handed in. The Godzilla reboot script is currently being worked on by Frank Darabont, with the film eventually being directed by Gareth Edwards and a release date set for May 16, 2014.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen is proving quite a popular actress at the moment, trying out for the female lead in Captain America: Winter Soldier, which eventually went to Emily VanCamp, and it is claimed that Paramount Pictures want Elizabeth to star in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
