It may have taken some time but Elizabeth Olsen has now well and truly stepped out of her sisters shadow, thanks to some tremendous performances on the big screen. Her acting ability is undeniable and while the Olsen Twins may have been the child stars of the family, Elizabeth has easily become the biggest grown up star.

Elizabeth is next set to appear in the Spike Lee remake of the film Oldboy and she has been giving her views on the movie. Olsen explained to Empire, “It's going to be a different story, just because, one, it takes place in a nondescript city in America and, two, it's ten years later so technology is different. It's practicalities have had to change.”
She added, “It's not trying to redo the film – it's coming at it from a different view. As well as focusing on the primary source of the Korean film, for our film there's also the Japanese Manga, so we're using the primary source of the novel, really. I like to compare it to Let Me In and Let The Right One In. Those aren't the exact same films, but they're just a different take on the same story.”

As well as Elizabeth Olsen, Oldboy also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Josh Brolin and Nate Parker. The movie is currently without an official release date but it is expected to hit the big screen sometime next year.
