Elizabeth Shue and Jennifer Lawrence have had similar career trajectories – Shue shot to fame with the ‘Karate Kid’ when she approximately the same age as Lawrence is now, with the ‘Hunger Games’. Shue has a new interview with Vulture talking about the similarities, and how it was working with Jennifer.
She says, “Well, this was her second film after Winter’s Bone, and that was the moment you knew that she was going to be nominated. I had a very strong feeling she was going to have a quick rise to the top. She also has a really strong sense of herself. She’s incredibly confident. I was not surprised at all, to be honest.”
