With just under four months to go before the release date for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the promotional blitz by Fox is just starting to get underway. Well, I think we can all expect to see a trailer sometime during Superbowl weekend [considering the big game will also be broadcast by Fox], we've already received several X-Men magazine covers courtesy of Empire Magazine.
Empire had 25 magazine covers for X-Men: Days of Future Past, and each of them were actually focused on specific characters. Every single major character with speaking lines seemed to get their own cover, including miner characters such as Blink and Colossus. However, it's interesting to note that both characters from the past and future timelines are given covers, and only Wolverine [played by Hugh Jackman] and the Sentinels got both past and future covers.
One of these specific 'future' characters that got their own covers was Ellen Page's Kitty Pryde [viewed here], who's said to have an integral role in Days of Future Past. While there's not too much information available on the movie, we know Kitty helps Wolverine travel back in time to prevent the Sentinels from ever gaining power.
X-Men: Days of Future Past releases on May 23rd, and in addition to starring Ellen Page, the film also stars Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Peter Dinklage, Shawn Ashmore, and Anna Paquin.
