There has always been a bit of a trend in Hollywood, where successful actors have decided to try to mix things up about, by turning their hand to directing. In recent years, we have seen more and more Hollywood stars deciding to test their talents in the directors chair and we have even more looking to do so in the future.
Over the course of the past few years, we have seen the likes of Angelina Jolie having a go at directing, with her movie In the Land of Blood and Honey. Most recently, we saw Joseph Gordon-Levitt showing his directing talents with Don Jon, while Ryan Gosling is bringing us his directorial debut How to Catch a Monster.
A few months back, it was announced that X-Men: Days of Future Past actress Ellen Page has decided to become the latest star to have a go at directing. Ellen will direct the movie Miss Stevens, which has already got Anna Faris attached and is currently in the script writing stage, with Julia Hart responsible for penning the screenplay.
Miss Stevens is a comedy movie, which will focus on a high school teacher, who has to chaperone a group of school kids to a state drama competition. There is no word yet of when production will begin on Miss Stevens, which means we are still without a release date but we certainly look forward to seeing what Ellen Page brings to the directing game.
