Singer Ellie Goulding has revealed that she is proud to be a part of the hit movie franchise Twilight. Ellie admitted that, while she is not exactly a fan of the movie series, she feels lucky to have one of her songs on the sound track for the next film.
Ellie told MTV News, “I'm not a Twi-hard but I take it for what it is; it's a cool thing and I can see why there's a huge fanbase. [And] they choose the best stuff for the soundtrack, so I'm really lucky to be a part of that!”
Goulding produced the song, which is titled Bittersweet, with her boyfriend Skrillex and has revealed just what the message of the song is and how the lyrics from the track relate to the Twilight movie.
She added, “Myself and Skrillex got together in the studio and started working on this song, and it's about waking up in the morning and hoping that the person feels the same way as you.”
Ellie continued, “For some reason, every single lyric just ended up relating to this film. And I think when it was played at some point to the Twilight people, they were like, 'Oh my God!' So they asked us if we were interested in being on the soundtrack and we were like, 'Hell yeah!'”
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 will once again see Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner vying for the love of Kristen Stewart, when the movie hits the big screen in both the US and the UK on November 16.
