Emile Hirsch and Shia LaBeouf may have been friends, but that might not stay that way if Shia gets a hold of Emile's latest Twitter rant. Shia has been the butt of many Internet jokes lately, thanks to his bizarre antics and his constant consensus that he's 'retiring' from acting. He wore a paper bag on his head recently, with the words, "I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE" written on the bag.
Then, Emile decided to copy Shia's writing style on Twitter, joke tweeting, "I AM NOT FAMOUS TO BEGIN WITH. I AM...CONFUSED ABOUT HOW FAMOUS OR NOT FAMOUS I MIGHT POTENTIALLY BE...ANYMORE..." It continues in this vein for a bit longer, but Emile does add, "IN ALL FAMOUSNESS THOUGH, I LOVE SHIA, WHETHER OR NOT HE'S FAMOUS."
Well, is Shia even really retiring? He says that now, probably because he's tired of the press attention, but we saw how long the 'retirement' lasted for Joaquin Phoenix. Shia might also have some underlying conditions that he's dealing with, as is the case with most child stars. Shia always seemed relatively well-adjusted for a child star, but eventually, it might have gotten to really be too much for him.
However, that being said, Emile's rant was definitely funny and not even a little bit offensive. He does say that he 'loves' Shia, and considering that they've worked together in the past, he probably meant it.
Shia will next be seen in Nymphomaniac, whereas Emile was most recently seen in the Bonnie & Clyde TV miniseries and Lone Survivor.
