Since it was announced that the hit novel Fifty Shades of Grey was being made into a Hollywood blockbuster, almost every actor and actress in the business has been linked to the movie. However, there are a few names that are regularly mentioned for the lead role.
Emilia Clarke is linked to Anastasia Steele
Most of the talk regarding the role of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey film has been about the battle between Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer, with people almost suggesting that it will definitely be one of these two actors. Meanwhile, the favourite for the role of Anastasia Steele seems to be Alexis Bledel.
However, two other stars who have regularly been linked as possible candidates for the lead roles in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie are Henry Cavill and Emilia Clarke. Both stars are no strangers to getting their kit off, with Henry set to appear topless in the Man of Steel movie, while Emilia has appeared nude on more than the odd occasion in Game of Thrones.

There could yet be some wait on the casting of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, as the screenplay for the Fifty Shades of Grey film is currently being written by Kelly Marcel. It is likely that a director will then be brought on board, once the script is complete, before any stars are cast, so expect plenty more rumours between now and then.
