Since the hit HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones aired earlier this year, a number of the shows stars have started to make the movie onto the big screen. Jason Momoa has starred in Conan the Barbarian and Kit Harington has filmed Silent Hill: Revelations, which is out next year.
Now one of the female members of the cast has made her first steps into the world of movies. Emilia Clarke has been signed up to star as the leading lady in the Antonio Negret action thriller Overdrive, which recently began filming and is due out next year.
Overdrive centres around two brothers, played by Karl Urban and Ben Barnes, who are renowned car thieves. The head to France for a new challenge, where they become the target of a crime boss. It is believed that Emilia Clarke will play the love interest.
Emilia Clarke will also be reprising her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the second season of Game of Thrones, which is also currently filming. Game of Thrones season two is set to premiere on HBO on April 15.
