Up until 2012, actress Emily Bett Rickards is a name that almost nobody will have known from the world of acting but now, just two years later, she has seen her acting career going from strength to strength and continuing to rise. This is all down to the huge success of the hit The CW television series Arrow, which is now in its second season and has been renewed for a third season.
Emily Bett Rickards plays the role of Felicity Smoak in Arrow and has become one of the main characters in the series over the course of the past two seasons. With season two drawing to a close on-screen, it has freed up some time for Emily off-screen where she can take her new-found stardom and work on some new big screen projects to take her career to the next level.
The next couple of years will see Emily Bett Rickards appear in at least a couple of movies with the actress appearing alongside Keith Carradine, Julie Ann Emery and Haley Ramm in the movie Dakota's Summer, which is written and directed by Timothy Armstrong and will open this year. Next up is the film Brooklyn which has an impressive cast including Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent, and will open sometime in 2015.
While we wait for these new movies to release we can still see Emily Bett Rickards in the role of Felicity Smoak in Arrow season two which continues to air on Wednesday evenings at 8/7c on The CW, with the next episode airing tonight (April 23), and the Arrow season two finale airing on Wednesday, May 14.
We have become big fans of Emily Bett Rickards and cannot wait to see plenty more of her on both the big screen and the small screen in the coming years.
