Avengers 2 is still a couple of years away from going into production, but there is a huge amount of anticipation and buzz building for all the new characters that will be appearing in the sequel to the blockbuster superhero movie that broke records earlier this year.

Joss Whedon, who will be returning as the director, is also reportedly adding one or two extra characters to the superhero team. According to the Daily Mail, one of the characters will be Carol Denvers, also known as Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel.
The tabloid also quotes, “Meanwhile, British actresses Emily Blunt and Ruth Wilson are head-to-head in a race for the most sought-after new female role in Hollywood. Emily, 29, and Ruth, 30, are both hotly tipped to play superhero Ms. Marvel in Avengers 2, the sequel to Avengers Assemble.”
In addition to Blunt and Wilson, other fan favorites that often pop up in forums for the discussion of those roles are Yvonne Strahvoski and Amber Heard.
Blunt was previously rumored to have been offered the role of Black Widow, but she had to turn it down to previous commitments. Now, it seems that Blunt may finally get the chance to be added to the Marvel Universe, which is what fans are certainly hoping for.
Emily Blunt also talked about listening to Chris Cooper to perfect her American accent.
