There are a lot of Marvel movies coming out over the course of the coming years and we will be introduced to a lot of new characters on the big screen. One such character is Agent 13 in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, who is played by Revenge actress Emily VanCamp who has spoken about her research for the role.
Emily told Fandango, "One of the most interesting things was actually learning about it, to really start to understand just how grand this universe is. Researching my character, I started to get interested in a lot of other things that I was reading. It was just a really fun process.”
As many of you will be well aware, Agent 13 was the code name given by S.H.I.E.L.D. for Sharon Carter but, with there being a number of different versions of the Agent 13 character, Emily admits that it has not been easy to get the character spot on.
She added, “There are so many different versions of the character, so really what you have to do is sort of take all of that information and make it your own and hope that the fans like it. It's a little bit of a gamble, and it's a little bit nerve-wracking at times, but that's also part of the fun."
We will get to see what Emily VanCamp manages to give us, when Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April 4, 2014 in the US and May 2, 2014 in the UK.
