Emily VanCamp is currently busy promoting the third season of Revenge, but she’s taking a little break from that to appear on Fashion Magazine’s Spring cover issue.

While VanCamp shares the screen with certain actresses who are rumored to have gotten plastic surgery, she herself admits that she doesn’t understand people’s craze with going under the knife. She explains, “I think actors get addicted to youth but it seems so exhausting to me. There is such pressure in L.A. to keep young and beautiful [but] the expectation to maintain this perfectly youthful face is incredibly intimidating as a woman in this business.”
She adds, “How can you act if your face is frozen? I don't understand it. I find it really tragic and sad that women feel that they can't age and still work in film.” While it’s true that most celebrities in Los Angeles feel pressure to look younger, there is a slow movement away from invasive procedures that change your face drastically, especially among older actresses. However, VanCamp has plenty of time before she has to worry about that as she’s only 26 years old and at the top of her game.

Emily VanCamp currently stars in Revenge
VanCamp was recently announced as the female lead opposite Chris Evans in Captain America: Winter Soldier. Getting the role was a big coup for the actress, who had mostly led television until now. You can currently catch her on ‘Revenge’, which airs Sunday nights on ABC.
