Emma Stone is currently promoting ‘The Gangster Squad’, and she has a variety of different interviews discussing her role in the movie, her upcoming projects, and other projects that she’s rumored to be involved in. In an interview with Empire, Stone is asked whether it was odd working with Ryan Gosling again, especially as their previous outing together in ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ was more of a comedic role. Stone replies that it was a different shift, but it was ‘amazing’ to get to work with Gosling again.
Stone is also asked whether Zombieland 2 is a possibility, and although she’s not sure, she replies saying, 'I don’t think so', but that the idea of a Zombieland TV show is amazing and that she would ‘definitely watch it’.
Stone also has another interview with MSN and when talking about whether she took the role to explore a ‘darker side’ of herself, she says that she mostly took it to ‘work with Ryan [Gosling] and Reuben [Flescher] again. It was a huge draw.’ She also talks about the appeal of working with such a great cast, particularly Sean Penn. She says in an interview with Tribute, “He [Penn] is pretty amazing. He’s one of the greatest actors alive, that’s for sure. Felt pretty lucky to witness that.”
Gangster Squad releases January 11th and co-stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling with Sean Penn and Josh Brolin.
