The Amazing Spider-Man actress Emma Stone has admitted that she found it very weird at times, when filming her latest movie The Help. The reason Emma felt so strange was that she visited modern day houses, where black women were still working as maids.
Stone explained, "The weirdest thing for me was going to the houses [in Baptist Town, where part of the film was shot] and we would meet the housekeepers who were in uniform working for the family. Viola [Davis] would be in costume and these women would be in uniform and they would avert their eyes when they were shaking my hand. It was mind-boggling."
The Help is based on the bestselling novel, by Kathryn Stockett and also stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer. The Help is set to be released in both the US and the UK on August 10. Check out the trailer below.
