The Amazing Spider-Man actress Emma Stone has opened up about learning that her mother had cancer. Emma discovered that her mother, Krista Stone had been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer back in 2008 and the Hollywood star says that it was the most terrifying experience of her life.
Emma was living in Los Angeles, when she learned of her mother's cancer but she made sure that she flew home to Arizona as much as she possibly could, to stay with her mother while she underwent treatment. Stone said, "I was oddly stoic, the opposite of how I usually am. But it was terrifying."
Meanwhile, Emma Stone's mom has praised her daughter, for managing to be so brave in such a difficult time, "I'm sure, in private, Em lived in fear and anxiety. But she really shifted into this [mode of], 'We're going to take care of this, and everything's going to be fine'," she said. Krista Stone has now been cancer free for five years.
Meanwhile, Emma Stone is in the process of filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which sees her once again team up with her real life boyfriend Andrew Garfield, as well as some new faces, such as Jamie Foxx, Shailene Woodley and Paul Giamatti. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens on April 18, 2014 in the UK and May 2, 2014 in the US.
