In a new interview with MTV, Emma Stone talks about the Amazing Spiderman in promotion for the DVD release and extras – in this particular clip [which can be seen here], she talks about what makes Peter Parker such an attractive person to her Gwen Stacy, and adds that it’s all due to a shared interest in science and good looks.
“Peter Parker is incredibly talented and into what she [Gwen Stacy] is in to, and he’s adorable, and he skateboards and he’s Spiderman! Which is always cool for a girl. No, I think her attraction is justified. I mean, it makes sense from the beginning to me. I think that, you know, that shared element of understanding, her biggest passion in life, which is science. And the fact that he understands it too, while being an attractive man, is kind of a basis for a pretty easy 17 year old crush, I would say.”
One would say – is Stone talking about Peter Parker/ Spider-man here or is she talking about her on-screen and off-screen boyfriend, Andrew Garfield. Stone and Garfield met on the sets of Spider-man and started a relationship pretty much as soon as the film wrapped, so one has to wonder how much the sparks were flying during their scenes together. And of course, you only need to watch the movie to see their chemistry together.
