It seems that Emma Watson is leaving a number of projects just lately. It was recently revealed that Emma Watson was being replaced by Emily Blunt in the movie Your Voice in My Head and now it seems that Disney are going to have to find a new leading lady for their live action Cinderella movie, as Emma has also departed that project.

The news came from Variety's Marc Graser, who took to his official Twitter account to say, "Emma Watson has decided NOT to star in Disney’s CINDERELLA," and he clearly did not want to give too much away about the reasons just yet, as he added, "Details to come."
While it is not fully clear why Emma Watson is leaving the Disney live action Cinderella movie, it could simply be because she did not want to be involved in two similar projects, as Emma is also said to be signed on to play Belle in the Beauty and the Beast movie.

Saoirse Ronan could replace Emma Watson
Disney will now be in search of a new leading lady for the live action Cinderella movie and may well cast one of the previously linked stars. Saoirse Ronan (Hanna), Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers) and Alicia Vikander (A Royal Affair) were all linked to the role of Cinderella before Emma Watson was cast, so don't be surprised to see one of these now cast in the near future.
