The internet has been agog with anticipation and speculation since it was announced that the hacker group Anonymous managed to leak documents that supposedly 'confirmed' Emma Watson as Anastasia Steele in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation. Fans were delighted as Watson was a long-time fan favorite for the role, and many thought she would be able to do the role justice.

However, just as quickly as the rumor went viral, it was squashed by none other than Emma Watson herself. Watson took to her Twitter to announce to the world that not only is she not cast in the film, but that she would never do the role. She tweeted, "Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life. Good. Well that’s sorted then.”
It's clear that she's not considering the role and she has absolutely no interest in it, despite fan wishes. There could be a number of reasons Watson has made this decision, but one of the main reasons is reportedly nudity. Watson has never appeared nude before, and she might not want to start now, especially as Fifty Shades would require that of its lead actress. Watson may also not want to be part of another huge franchise so soon after finishing Harry Potter, and the books just might not be to her taste.

Regardless of the reason, at least we have a clear confirmation from the actress herself that she will not be a part of the film. The other fan favorites for the role include Mila Kunis [who has also denied her involvement], Alexis Bledel and Emilia Clarke.
