There are so many talented and successful British stars in Hollywood these days, with plenty of them managing to bag some very interesting and exciting roles in some very promising movies. British actress Emma Watson has been in the acting industry for many years, first appearing on the big screen in the 2001 movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, before going on to become one of the most recognisable faces in the acting industry.
Emma Watson now has plenty of movie projects lined up for the coming years, with her latest film Regression set to hit the big screen this year. In the thriller, Emma has a number of crying scenes and, while some stars need help to get the tears flowing, it seems that Watson could do it on cue, with a rather interesting technique.
Regression director Alejandro Amenabar was recently talking about his new movie, when he revealed how Emma Watson could make herself cry on cue, "She’s intelligent, committed, beautiful. To cry she said ‘I think about sad memories and if I don’t manage to cry, then I cry out of frustration,’" he explained. Pretty impressive going, we must say.
While Emma Watson plays the female lead in Regression, actor Ethan Hawke plays the male lead, with a supporting cast including the likes of David Thewlis, Aaron Ashmore and Devon Bostick. As well as directing Regression, Alejandro Amenabar also penned the script for the screenplay. Regression is currently without an official US release date but the movie will hit the big screen in the UK on October 9.
