As 'The Bling Ring' comes closer to its release date, the cast of the film has been busy with promotional interviews. Emma Watson, as the most visibly famous face in the cast, has been busier than ever.
In a recent interview, Watson spends time describing how she prepared for her role as Nicki as part of the notorious 'bling ring' that robbed celebrities houses in a real-life scandal a couple of years ago. Watson reveals, "Sofia had me rob a house. I think the house belongs to Sofia’s cousins in LA. We ended up jumping in through a window. We stole some bags. It was very funny to see how, as [individuals], we reacted differently to the scenario. I was really horrified. But Taissa was like, ‘Wait guys, we should get something from the fridge. Is anyone hungry?’ I was like, ‘This is crazy!’ It was funny, but it definitely felt very wrong and weird.”
Watson also explains that she's more careful with her things than the celebrities in 'The Bling Ring', adding, "I do always padlock my suitcases. I definitely don’t leave my house keys underneath my doormat. I have a burglar alarm, I lock my windows and doors. It’s definitely chilling to watch the film and realize that people have access to so much more information these days. They can really find out where you are at any given moment.”
'The Bling Ring' comes out on June 14th and stars Emma Watson alongside Taissa Farmiga and newcomers Claire Julien, Israel Broussard, and Katie Chang.
