Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has revealed how she used fashion as a way of getting some relief from the constant Harry Potter scrutiny. Emma has previously expressed that she will be eternally grateful to the Harry Potter franchise but she did not want people to solely associate her with the movie franchise and used fashion as a way of getting the press to talk about her in a different light.
Watson explained, "The press destroyed me over this Rodarte dress I wore once - it was bright blue with chains on it.
"I loved it. And I wore a leather Christopher Kane dress [in 2010] with embroidered flowers all over it. It wasn't that crazy, but at the time…"
She added, "Fashion gave me a chance to feel like I was something outside of Potter. I'm a multi-dimensional person and that's the freedom of fashion; that you're able to reinvent yourself through how you dress and how you cut your hair or whatever." Emma Watson recently admitted that she was questioned about her sexuality following her hair cut. You can next see Emma Watson on the big screen, alongside Logan Lerman and Nina Dobrev, in the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
