British actress Emma Watson has become one of the biggest stars on the planet, with millions of fans all over the world, who regularly stop the star and ask for pictures. While Emma was once more than happy to pose for a selfie, she has now admitted that she no longer has pictures with her fans, although she insists that she has a very good reason.
Watson explained, "For me, it’s the difference between being able to have a life and not. If someone takes a photograph of me and posts it, within two seconds they’ve created a marker of exactly where I am within 10 meters. They can see what I’m wearing and who I’m with. I just can’t give that tracking data."
While Emma Watson does not like to have her photo taken with her fans, due to these privacy reasons, she has admitted that she still has plenty of time for her fans. Emma said that she is more than happy to stop and chat to her fans and answer their questions, although most of the time all they ever actually want is a picture.
Watson added, "I’ll say, ‘I will sit here and answer every single Harry Potter fandom question you have but I just can’t do a picture’ and much of the time people don’t bother. I have to carefully pick and choose my moment to interact. When am I a celebrity sighting versus when am I going to make someone’s freakin’ week? Children I don’t say no to, for example."
Emma Watson stars as Belle in the live action adaptation of the classic Disney tale Beauty and the Beast, which is set to hit the big screen on March 17 in both the US and the UK.
