While the upcoming movie Late Phases is not expected to threaten any of the major awards ceremonies in the coming year or so, we are certainly interested to see what the movie manages to deliver. There are a lot of interesting factors surround the project and it could make for a great little film.
Late Phases is the first full English language film from director Adrian Garcia Bogliano, whose previous efforts include Cold Sweat, Penumbra, as well as the upcoming Here Comes the Devil. It will be interesting to see if Adrian can get across the same style and storytelling, while focussing on an all English screenplay.
Meanwhile, the cast of Late Phases, which already includes Nick Damici (Stakeland) and Tina Louise (Gilligan's Island's, Ginger), has now grown, with the inclusion of Erin Cummings (Spartacus) and Ethan Embry. These are all capable of delivering a performance if the script is there.
Late Phases centres around Ambrose McKinley, who has moved into a town where the residents keep dying. Unusually enough, all of the victims are said to have supposedly been the victims of dog attacks. When Ambrose comes under attack himself, he realises that these are no ordinary dogs.
Late Phases is filming now and we look forward to seeing it on the big screen.
