Eugene Levy never has to work another day in his life, if he doesn't want to. One only has to look at his IMDB resume to say how many movies and television shows he's been in his life, and it's a lot.
However, he's probably best known to the general public for his role in the American Pie series, which launched almost a decade ago to surprise critical and commercial acclaim. Although most of the main cast only appeared in a handful of sequels, Levy was the only original cast members who also acted in the direct-to-DVD sequels that ruined the franchise's reputation.
Alas, the studio realized that the franchise still had plenty of potential, and so they managed to get the entire cast back [at a hefty fee] for one last time. The movie was officially titled 'American Reunion', and it was definitely a hit at the box office. However, since then, Levy's largely been lying low.
American Reunion came out in 2012, and since then, Eugene Levy played a supporting role in Madea's Witness Protection in 2012, a role in a small TV series titled 'Package Deal', and he also voiced Charlie in the upcoming Finding Dory, which doesn't come out until 2016. He could be slowing down on purpose, or he could be trying to concentrate on his TV career, what with Package Deal and several other rumored projects. Whatever it is, Finding Dory will do enough for his career and profile when it comes out in 2016.
