There has been a lot of talk, and also a little confusion, about the comic book character Quicksilver coming to the big screen, as it was announced that Evan Peters would play the character in X-Men: Days of Future Past, while Aaron Taylor-Johnson will play the role in Avengers: Age of Ultron. While we still have almost a year left to wait to see Aaron Taylor-Johnson giving his performance of Quicksilver, we have already had the chance to see Evan Peters playing the character.
There have been plenty of reports and reviews about X-Men: Days of Future Past, with the general consensus being that it is the best X-Men movie to hit the big screen yet. As for Evan Peters performance as Quicksilver, that has received a very positive response from both fans and critics alike, with many even suggesting that he is the best thing about the X-Men: Days of Future Past movie.
While we have to agree that Evan Peters has given us a very impressive performance as Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, we think saying he is the best part of the movie is a bit over the top. With that said though, this performance from Evan has certainly put the pressure on Aaron Taylor-Johnson to pull a special performance out of the bag in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
We have already seen a few glimpses of Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver but we are going to have to wait until the release of Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will hit the big screen on April 24, 2015 in the UK and on May 1, 2015 in the US, before we get to properly compare the two performances. We can tell you one thing though, Aaron Taylor-Johnson has his work cut out to out perform Evan Peters.
