The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug actress Evangeline Lilly is easily one of the most beautiful women in the world, so it is no surprise that men would fall at her feet, eager for a date with this stunning woman. However, it seems that all that changed once Evangeline became a famous face on a global scale.
Evangeline Lilly rose to stardom playing the role of Kate Austin in the hit television series Lost, catapulting her into global superstardom, making her a household name around the world. While Kate used to get approached by men on a regular occasion, she says that it all stopped following her Lost fame.
Lilly told DuJour magazine, "Once I became a public figure, that ended. Men stopped talking to me. Because they think, ‘Why would she want to date me?' But the irony of it is, that's exactly why you'd want to date them—everyone needs something to ground them in their life, and often for public figures, that's their partner."
Fortunately for Evangeline Lilly there was one man who was not afraid to approach her and that was Norman Kali, who she is now married to and has a young son named Kahekili with. Evangeline had planned on retiring from acting to spend her days with her family, before Peter Jackson persuaded her to take on the role of Tauriel in The Hobbit movies.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is out now, with The Hobbit: There and Back Again opening in December this year.
