As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to get bigger and better with every year, we continue to get introduced to a number of new Marcel characters on the big screen. One of the new Marvel characters that we are most looking forward to seeing on the big screen, is the upcoming movie Ant-Man, which will begin shooting later in the year, before opening in 2015.
We already know that Hollywood funny man Paul Rudd will play the lead role of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man in the Ant-Man movie, while Michael Douglas has also been cast as Hank Pym for the film. Now it looks like we have another name that has joined the cast of the film, which is really beginning to get us very excited.
According to recent reports, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug actress Evangeline Lilly has signed up to join the cast of the Ant-Man movie and, while there has been no official word of who she will be playing in the film, there have already been a lot of suggestions. A lot of people are suggesting that Evangeline Lilly will play the role of Janet Pym in the Ant-Man movie, although that is just speculation for now.
As well as starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and now Evangeline Lilly, the Ant-Man movie has also seen stars such as Patrick Wilson, Michael Pena and Corey Stoll linked to roles in the film. Ant-Man will be directed by Edgar Wright, based on the screenplay developed by Joe Cornish, with the movie set to hit the big screen on July 17, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
