There has been a lot of talk about the upcoming Marvel movie Ant-Man over the years and even more so earlier this year, when writer and director Edgar Wright pulled out of the project. This left many people wondering what would happen with the project and whether it would have to be delayed for a long time, while they go in search of a new director.
Fortunately though, they moved very fast and managed to replace Edgar Wright with a new director in the form of Peyton Reed and the project is continuing to move forward as planned. With everything now in place, it is expected that the Ant-Man movie will begin shooting this year, with the cast and crew of the film all preparing themselves for the project.
Paul Rudd will play the lead role of Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, while Evangeline Lilly will play the female lead, which is expected to be Janet Van Dyke aka The Wasp. Both Evangeline and Paul will be preparing for the shoot, with Rudd recently saying, "I’ve had to kind of try and get in better shape. I don’t get too jacked. It doesn’t make sense for someone trying to be an ant."
As well as starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, the impressive Ant-Man cast will also include the likes of Patrick Wilson, Corey Stoll, Michael Douglas, and Michael Pena, among others. Ant-Man will now be directed by Peyton Reed and will hit the big screen on July 17, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
