Hollywood beauty Evangeline Lilly has become one of the most recognisable faces on the planet in recent years, thanks to appearing in a number of succesful projects over the past few years. Here, we have decided to take a little look at the career of Evangeline Lilly and her rise to Hollywood stardom.
As many of you will know, Evangeline Lilly got her big break playing the role of Kate Austin in the hit television series Lost. However, what many of you will be unaware of is that before Lost, Evangeline actually appeared in three different episodes of the hit The CW television series Smallville, although she was never actually credited for the roles.
As well as her uncredited appearances in Smallville, Evangeline Lilly also appeared in the movies The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Freddy vs. Jason and White Chicks. Evangeline then won the role of Kate Austin, appearing in 117 episodes between 2004 and 2010, launching her career in a big way, opening many doors for the beautiful actress.
Following her huge small screen success, Evangeline has gone on to enjoy success on the big screen, appearing in some impressive movies along the way. Evangeline had a role in the fantastic movie The Hurt Locker, as well as starring in the film Real Steel,before landing her biggest role to date, as Tauriel in The Hobbit movies.
Evangeline Lilly has already appeared in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and she will reprise the role for the final instalment The Hobbit: There and Back Again, which will open in December 17 in the US and December 19 in the UK. There has been talk about Evangeline Lilly retiring but, with her good looks and her obvious talent, we hope to see plenty more of her in the coming years.
