Evangeline Lilly teases her role in The Hobbit
Real Steel actress Evangeline Lilly has been chatting about her character Tauriel, who was created especially for the forthcoming Peter Jackson movie The Hobbit. Evangeline claims that her character is not one to be messed with, as she has an extensive knowledge of a variety of different weapons.
Lilly explained, “She’s actually the head of the Elven guard. She’s the big shot in the army. So she knows how to wield any weapon, but the primary weapons that she uses are a bow and arrow and two daggers. And she’s lethal and deadly. You definitely wouldn’t want to be caught in a dark alley next to Tauriel.” She added, “I still have to go back for five more months of filming”.
Evangeline Lilly also revealed that she does not have a huge part to play in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which is released on December 14, 2012, and that we only really see her towards the end of the movie. However, Evangeline admitted that she has a much bigger part to play in the sequel The Hobbit: There and Back Again, which is released on December 13, 2013.
