Hollywood star Ewan McGregor has opened up about the possibility of making a return to the role of Obi Wan Kenobi in the new Star Wars movie. Ewan says that he would definitely be willing to reprise the role if the writers felt that it was necessary for him to play Obi Wan again.

McGregor told Total Film, “I’d be up for it. If they need me to be Obi Wan Kenobi, I’d be happy to do it. Who knows what the story would be? How could I be Obi Wan Kenobi? Oh, I’m in the force? With Liam [Neeson]? We’re in there together? I’m up for it anyway. I will don the cloak again.”
It is difficult to see how Ewan McGregor could make a return to the Star Wars franchise without it being through a flashback or a dream, as Obi Wan Kenobi was played by Alec Guinness when the character died. However, George Lucas did change his original movies to have Hayden Christensen as the spirit of Anakin Skywalker, so who knows?
