FS. Hi Nikita, you have recently come to our attention through numerous campaigns, can you tell us and our readers a little bit about yourself, you have a beautiful unique look, can you tell us where you’re from and what you’re currently up to.

NP: My name is Nikita Parlevliet , 26 years old, currently living in Bangkok; Thailand. I was born and raised in The Netherlands by my Thai mother and Dutch father. During my studies in Amsterdam I started with some freelance modeling which leaded to a contract in Bangkok with one of their leading modeling agencies. Initially I never planned to be a full-time 'model' but I saw this as an opportunity to explore myself and was ready for new experiences in life. With all the travels I've done for work and leisure, I fell in love with Asia and it has been nearly 5 years now that I left Amsterdam and based myself in Bangkok.

FS. Leading on from that, what are your ambitions, any desire to act? We hear you have a very astute business mind …

NP: Inspired by the love of travel and exotic beaches, me and Rachel Santillan – business partner and long time friend - started a bikini brand called LOLA swimwear. At first we designed a collection purely for fun, but soon we created interest from numerous magazines and fashion events which made us expand our vision and at this moment we are setting up an online business for LOLA swimwear. With so many swimwear brands around, LOLA differentiates herself by offering the options to customize your own swimwear simply by choosing your print and desired design - both top and bottom - which can be mixed and matched. Another unique approach is that most of the items are reversible, so more value for money!

FS. What would you say has been your biggest achievement career wise to date?

NP: I've done numerous campaigns - mostly for lingerie and swimwear brands - and magazine shoots but I must say that  creating conceptual photo shoots for our own brand, have been very special and exciting. The most memorable was when we created an underwater photo shoot, which was extremely difficult but came out gorgeous!

FS. What do you have planned for the next few years?

NP: In the next few years I'll be at my beach house creating new concepts and designs for LOLA swimwear - expended with all round beach accessories – surrounded by my own little Lolita's [Laughs]

FS. You have been modelling for years now, you must have learnt a fair amount, we always hear so many horror stories of new models getting it wrong from the start and damaging their careers before they have started, what advice would you give to other girls looking to get into the industry?

NP: I think it is very important to have values and stick with these. Like any other job all the decisions you make and hard work are crucial, but especially in the modeling industry people should pay more attention to their decisions if you want to be taken serious and for future aspects career wise. My advise is; don't do anything you don't feel comfortable with and be a pleasure to work with. With all the beautiful models around, your good energy makes a client want to book you again and again!

Nikita Parlevliet then went on to reveal what she finds attractive in a man, adding, "I find ambition very attractive, whatever it is. When you have a goal and complete this, there is nothing more satisfying and this reflects on a person. It makes you feel secure of yourself and opens your creativity to achieve more. As for me, I found my man already!" She also revealed the worst chat up line she has ever heard, "[Laughs] I can't decide which one is the worst! [Laughs] One night out, a guy walks up to me and introduces himself... as my future husband!"

Be sure to check Nikita out in the future, big things are expected both from a business and career perspective.
