Fabrice Muamba recovery latest

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba is continuing to make progress in his recovery, following his cardiac arrest during the FA Cup match at Tottenham Hotspur. It has been reported that Fabrice is now able to sit up and has been eating and talking.

A joint statement made by the hospital and Bolton Wanderers Football Club stated, "He continues to make encouraging progress in his recovery. Over the weekend, he has been able to sit out of bed for a short time, watch television and has begun to eat."

The statement added, “However, he will need to continue to be closely monitored by the medical team at the London Chest Hospital for some time. His family requests that he receive no more visitors for the moment, outside of immediate family and members of Bolton Wanderers Football Club."

The rearranged FA Cup match between Bolton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur is set to take place at White Hart Lane this evening. It will be the first time that the Bolton Wanderers team have been back to the stadium since the tragic incident with Fabrice Muamba and they will be looking to win for their midfield star.
