As we told you back in October, following the announcement that David Haye was set to retire from boxing, it was all one big publicity stunt. David has spoken today about how he plans to come out of retirement and fight Vitali Klitschko in March. The news has been met with mixed response, as many of his fans have turned on him for “playing” them.
Haye explained, "I haven't seen a contract but there's definitely talks going on. I said before I retired I would love that fight and there's a date in March that's already been talked about. I said I'd want to fight Vitali, the big brother of Wladimir, who beat me in my last fight. They're the only guys I'd consider coming out of retirement for."
However, it is not a guarantee, with Haye adding, "Whether it happens or not I don't know. What I will do is make sure I am in good shape so if the fight for whatever reason does happen, if they give me what I believe I deserve and if the date for the TV networks all comes together, then it would be something I would seriously consider." If the David Haye vs Vitali Klitschko fight did go ahead, we would expect to see a similar situation to the picture above!
